NOTICE: Maps are being fundamentally changed this season to be stackable. Old maps will cause compatibility errors and will need to be dropped beforehand.

GENERAL CHANGES

  • Added a new act 4 mercenary which can be hired at Tyrael and uses staves
    • Dark version: Casts bone armor, Bone Spear, Teeth, Curse Mastery and Amplify Damage
    • Light Version: Casts holy bolt, fists of the heavens, holy nova and has sanctuary aura
  • Act 1 mercenaries have received several changes
    • Added a new act 1 physical mercenary that uses strafe, slow movement and magic arrow
    • The fire act 1 mercenary now uses exploding arrow instead of strafe
    • The cold act 1 mercenary now uses freezing arrow instead of strafe
  • Rare items have received a massive overhaul
    • Many low level affixes will no longer spawn 40 levels after they are first available (fixed - added list of affixes below)
      • Sturdy, Strong, Glorious (10-50% enhanced defense)
      • Jagged, Deadly, Vicious, Brutal, Massive (10-65% enhanced damage)
      • Bronze, Iron (10-40 attack rating)
      • Sharp, Fine, Warrior's (10-60 attack rating & 10-40% enhanced damage)
      • Lizard's, Snake's, Serpent's (3-20 mana)
      • Shimmering (3-7 all resistances)
      • Azure, Crimson, Tangerine, Beryl (5-10% elemental resist)
      • Triumphant (1 mana after each kill)
      • Lunar, Arcadian (25-100 attack rating vs demons & 10-50% enhanced damage vs demons)
      • Snowy, Fiery, Static, Septic, Foul (flat elemental damage)
      • Consecrated (25-75 attack rating vs undead & 25-75% enhanced damage vs undead)
      • Blood Letting (1 life after each kill)
      • Health, Protection, Absorption (physical damage taken reduced by 1-3)
      • Warding (magic damage taken reduced by 1-2)
      • Thorns, Spikes, Razors (attack takes damage of 3-40)

    • There are two new tiers of amplify damage procs
    • Magic and rare staves now have three tiers (alevels of affixes 37/56/76) of chance to cast on casting procs for the following skills (Fireball, Lightning, Chain Lightning, Nova, Charged Bolt, Frost Nova, Ice Barrage) These procs are level 18/24/30 based on their tiers and have different chance to proc based on the level of the skill
    • Magic and rare weapons now have three tiers (alevels of affixes 37/56/76) of chance to cast on striking procs for the following skills (Fireball, Lightning, Chain Lightning, Nova, Charged Bolt, Frost Nova, Ice Barrage) These procs are level 18/24/30 based on their tiers and have different chance to proc based on the level of the skill

  • Open wounds now stacks up to three times on a target
  • Open wounds now lasts 5 seconds
  • Open wounds no longer has a ½ penalty against uniques, champions or prime evils
  • Open wounds now applies from attackers take damage
  • Open wounds now applies to splash damage
  • Open Wounds in PvP now has the following adjustments:
    • Normal: 16% damage
    • Nightmare: 12% damage
    • Hell: 6% damage
  • Crushing blow now applies to splash damage
  • Added a new stat “Curse Resistance” which reduces the effect of curses against you by X%
  • Reduced Curse Duration now caps at 75%
  • Reduced curse duration corruptions on helmet, chest, shield and quivers have been replaced with 10% curse resistance corruptions
  • Monsters curse durations have been reduced to 20 seconds
  • Implemented D2GL made by Bayaraa which allows for 60+ FPS, HD text and many other features! Press Ctrl + O in game to modify the settings
  • The Dps meter can now be enabled to stay on between games within the BH menu and will now reset automatically when out of combat for 5 seconds
  • Poison damage is now calculated more accurately in the DPS meter
  • Hardcore players whos deeds of valor are announced to the server will now also include the monster that slayed them
  • Slain messages will now come from a different account allowing you to mute them if you wish without blocking server messages
  • Added an attack speed calculator into the advanced stats menu. It will show the attack speed breakpoints and the amount of frames of your current breakpoint
  • Critical Strike stat now shows the correct values on the advanced stats page
  • Mephisto in Hell difficulty can now drop Prime Evil Soul (fixed - wasn't mentioned)

MAPS

  • Added two new unique maps
    • These maps will both be diablo 1 inspired
    • Zhar’s Sanctum will have a large chance to drop charms and the boss will always drop skiller charms (Map made by Alma)
    • The Stygian Caverns will have a chance for items to drop corrupted and the boss will always drop a corrupted unique item (Made by Aerlynn)
  • Added two new map events
    • Gheed now has a chance to spawn within a map having 5 unidentified item bases available for 1 million gold each. These items will always be unique and can upgrade to exceptional or elite bases similar to gambling
    • An Altar of the Catalyst can now spawn within your map when you interact with this shrine a boss monster will spawn defeating this monster will allow you to smash the crystal on the altar granting you Catalyst Shards. Catalyst Shards can be combined with a map to add the modifier “Area contains a random event”
  • Kehjistan marketplace now provides less experience
  • White maps can now be stacked
  • Reduced chance of spawning map events for white maps by 66%.
  • Reduced chance of spawning map events for magic maps by 33%.

UBERS

  • Diablo clone and Rathma now have multiple difficulties. The base difficulty will no longer drop the Diablo clone and Rathma exclusive items however will be much easier than previously to allow more people to farm their own Anni or Tainted Worldstone Shards
  • The Diablo Clone and Rathma exclusive items will now be locked behind hard mode difficulties. In order to access the higher difficulties you will need to cube a Vex rune or higher with the Vision of Terror or Voidstone. Vex will add difficulty 1 and each higher tier of rune will be 1 difficulty higher going from 1 (vex) to 8 (zod). The drop rates of the Diablo Clone and Rathma exclusive items as well as the difficulty will increase with each difficulty increase.
  • We will be granting an aura for the first three players to defeat Difficulty 1 (Vex) and Difficulty 8 (Zod)
  • You can now break down a hellfire torch with a key to create stackable Hellfire Ashes which can be used for the Voidstone recipe
  • All Diablo Clone and Rathma summon materials drop rates have been increased
  • Monsters within phase 1 and phase 2 of Rathma have had their experience greatly reduced

PVP

  • Regular potions can no longer be used within the PvP Arena
  • Vendors within PvP Arenas will now sell PvP mana potions which cost 1 gold and can only be used within the Arenas
  • Meteor now has reduced explosion radius within PvP arenas

LOOT FILTER

  • New Features and improvements:
    • Hidden gold will now automatically be picked up
    • Added Reload Config to the in-game settings menu
    • Added EDEF which will filter Enhanced Defense
    • Added EDAM which will filter Enhanced Damage
    • Added GEMLEVEL (same as GEM)
    • Added SOCKETS (same as SOCK)
    • Added %SK#%, %OS#%, %CLSK#%, %TABSK#%, %MULTI#,#% skill value outputs
    • Added named stat value outputs (%DEF%, %LIFE%, %MFIND%, %RES%, etc.)
    • Renamed %STAT-#% to %STAT#% (now matches the input condition)
    • All valid conditions will now work with the 'between' (~) operator
    • Conditions with negative values should now work more intuitively (prior to this change, something like [REPLIFE>10] would also match items with negative Replenish Life, like Soul Drainer)
    • Items names can now use %NL%, so long as the item is identified and its quality is magic or greater
    • Added %ED%
    • Added EDEF, EDAM, FCR, AR, REPLIFE, STAT3 (vit), STAT60 (life leech), STAT62 (mana leech) to "+" condition (can be summed before evaluation)
    • Reworked PREFIX/SUFFIX/AUTOMOD to all start from ID 1. Previously the first PREFIX was 968 (Stout) but will now be 1. Likewise the first AUTOMOD (Fletcher's) was 1645 but will now be 1. This will prevent loot filters from needing updates every time a new PREFIX or SUFFIX is added
    • Color codes which were previously Glide-Only (%CORAL%, %SAGE%, %TEAL%, %LIGHT_GRAY%) will work if HD Text is enabled (fixed - wasn't mentioned)
  • Bug Fixes:
    • Fixed a bug with Enhanced Defense and Enhanced Damage sometimes returning 0
    • Fixed a bug with 1H that prevented it from filtering "hand axe"
    • Fixed a bug with EQ2 using the wrong armor group
    • Fixed a bug with EQUIPPED which caused items in the shared stash to be incorrectly considered "equipped"
    • Fixed a bug with SHOP that would sometimes cause the condition to incorrectly return true
    • Fixed a bug with GEM/GEMLEVEL that prevented unstacked flawless/perfect from filtering properly
    • Fixed an issue with MINDMG, MAXDMG, & STAT21-24 that would incorrectly filter on base min/max weapon damage instead of +min/+max damage bonuses.
    • Fixed a bug with PRICE that would cause the condition to incorrectly return false in certain cases
    • Fixed LIFE/MANA conditions
    • Fixed MAPTIER to properly allow negative values
    • Fixed issue with MAPTIER not filtering for non-map items

SKILLS

Amazon

Fend

  • Now gains +20% melee splash radius on it’s second attack and +40% on it’s third
  • Synergies increased from 12% to 15%

Lightning Fury

  • Changed from gaining a bolt every 5 base levels to every 5 soft

Power Strike

  • Level 28+ scaling increased from 0-31 to 0-32

Lightning Strike

  • Chain range reduced from 20 to 16
  • Hits reduced from 12 to 10
  • Synergies reduced from 12% to 10%

Evade

  • The passive movement speed bonus now works properly

Assassin

Mind Blast

  • Now deals partial magic damage

Tiger Strike

  • Animation reverted back to only using it’s main hand
  • Can now use daggers

Shadow Warrior

  • Item quality per level increased from 2 to 3
  • Shadow warrior base item quality increased from 18 to 20
  • Reworked Shadow Warrior equipment generation so that they will generate boots to increase their kick damage
  • Allowed inspecting shadow warriors gear (using unsummon skill to highlight the warrior and press 0)

Shadow Master

  • Reworked Shadow Master equipment generation so that they will generate boots to increase their kick damage
  • Allowed inspecting shadow masters gear (using unsummon skill to highlight the warrior and press 0)

Fists of Fire

  • Fixed fists of fire's meteor physical damage only gaining 25% from synergies instead of 26%
  • Fists of fire second charge nova level 22-28 scaling reduced from 30-33 to 27-33
  • Fists of fire second charge nova level 28+ scaling increased from 30-33 to 33-40

Dragon Claw

  • Synergies increased from 8% to 14% (fixed - incorrectly said 15%)
  • Damage per level increased from 15% to 25%

Blade Sentinel

  • Synergies increased from 9 to 10%

Fire Blast

  • Synergies increased from 12 to 14%

Shock Web

  • Synergies increased from 12 to 14%

Blade Shield

  • Synergies increased from 8% to 10%

Blade Dance

  • Base damage increased from 60% to 110%
  • Base attack rating increased from 90% to 200%
  • Attack rating per level increased from 6% to 15%

Venom

  • No longer double dips on increase poison damage% (the poison damage% will be applied on hit and not on casting venom)
  • No longer has scaling duration from poison damage%
  • Now lasts 1.6 seconds at all levels

Cobra Strike

  • Now has 4 frame next hit delay
  • Poison Bolt level 22-28 scaling increased from 18-18 to 20-20
  • Poison Bolt level 28+ scaling increased from 26-26 to 30-30
  • Synergies increased from 12% to 14%

Barbarian

Deep Wounds

  • Added a new passive: Deep Wounds - This passive grants the barbarian % chance of open wounds and additional open wounds damage per second

Double Swing

  • Synergies increased from 16% to 18%

Frenzy

  • Synergies increased from 14% to 15%

Concentrate

  • Synergies increased from 15% to 18%

Bash

  • Damage per level increased from 18% to 25%
  • Stun synergy increased from 12% to 15%
  • Concentrate synergy increased from 10% to 15%

Leap Attack

  • Synergies reduced from 10% to 8%
  • Leap attack no longer uses durability
  • Leap attack aoe increased

Find Item

  • Find potion synergy removed
  • % chance for high quality reduced from 30% to 15%
  • Scaling reduced from a diminishing return scaling from 0-50 to 0-40

Druid

Spirit of Barbs

  • Now has a 5% synergy with Carrion Vine

Arctic Blast

  • Hurricane synergy increased from 14% to 16%

Tornado

  • Level 1 base damage increased from 25-35 to 32-35
  • Level 1-8 scaling reduced from 8-8 to 6-8
  • Level 8-16 scaling increased from 14-15 to 14-16
  • Level 16-22 scaling increased from 20-21 to 20-22
  • Level 22-28 scaling increased from 24-25 to 24-26
  • Level 28+ scaling increased from 28-29 to 28-30

Fury

  • Now gains +20% melee splash radius on it’s second attack and +40% on it’s third

Feral Rage

  • No longer provides increased melee splash radius

Werebear

  • Damage bonus per level increased from 12% to 15%

Rabies

  • Rabies synergies reduced from 17% to 12%

Fire Claws

  • Removed Lycanthropy and Firestorm synergies
  • Redistributed synergy values into Molten Boulder and Armageddon
  • Increased the base damage scaling on fire claws from 1/2/3/4/5 - 2/3/4/5/6 to 2/3/5/7/9 - 3/4/6/8/10
  • Added scaling fire missile creation (was flat 6 fire missiles, now it is 4 + 1 per 5 base levels (8 total at level 20))
  • Increased the range of fire claw fire missiles
  • Added basic attack damage to fire claw tooltip

Necromancer

Poison Strike

  • Poison nova synergy replaced with bone armor
  • Now has a 4 frame next hit delay

Corpse Explosion

  • Synergies increased from 7% to 8%
  • Level 8-16 scaling increased from 1-1 to 2-4
  • Level 16-22 scaling increased from 5-10 to 8-10
  • Level 22-28 scaling increased from 10-14 to 12-14

Dark Pact

  • Curse mastery and iron maiden synergies reduced from 18% to 15%
  • All curse synergies reduced from 12% to 10%
  • Mana cost increase per level reduced from .25 to .125
  • Fixed a bug that applied increased magic damage% from items to Dark Pact twice

Curse Mastery

  • Changed to apply a "curse cap" on the monster. This means that a curse cast from a unit with increased max curses will allow other units to apply curses up to that limit (E.g., a necromancer player with 2 max curses casts a curse on a monster, if their mercenary casts a curse on the same monster it will stack up to the necromancer's max curse limit)

Paladin

Thorns

  • synergies increased from 18 to 20%

Blessed Aim

  • Attack rating base reduced from +80% to +60%
  • Attack rating per level reduced from +20% to +15%
  • Now provides +5% deadly strike base
  • Now gains +1% deadly strike every 2 levels

Might

  • Now grants allies ½ of your personal bonus instead of ⅓
  • Might damage per level bonus reduced from +25% to +20%

Concentration

  • Attack rating base increased from +25% to +50%
  • Attack rating per level increased from +5% to +10%
  • Enhanced damage bonus per level increased from +12% to +15%
  • Now has a ½ penalty for its enhanced damage bonus to allies

Fanaticism

  • Enhanced damage per level reduced from +18% to +15%

Charge

  • Now gains up to +60% increased melee splash radius based on the distance traveled
  • Will always charge in melee range instead of doing a normal attack
  • “Charge bug” has now been fixed

Zeal

  • Now gains +20% melee splash radius on it’s second attack and +40% on it’s third

Sacrifice

  • Sacrifice has been reworked: It now causes the killed monster’s corpse to explode after a delay dealing 5% of the monsters health and 150% of the overkill damage dealt to the monster. (This means if you deal 130 damage to a monster and the monster has 100 health then the overkill explosion will deal 5% monster health + 45 damage) This damage is dealt as half physical and half magic
  • Damage to self is now reduced by physical damage reduction

Fist of the Heavens

  • Synergies increased from 10% to 11%
  • Fist of the heavens holy bolts now gain their proper synergy values

Sorceress

Blizzard

  • Base damage changed from 15-25 to 17-24
  • Level 16-22 scaling increased from 8-10 to 8-11
  • Level 22-28 scaling changed from 11-13 to 10-14
  • Level 28+ scaling increased from 15-17 to 14-19

Frozen Orb

  • Base damage reduced from 100-110 to 80-90
  • Level 28+ scaling increased from 27-29 to 28-30

  • 10-15% physical resistance penetration reduced to 5-10%

  • Added 160 poison damage over 2 seconds
  • +50-90% enhanced damage reduced to +50-80%

  • Prevent monster heal removed

The Meat Scraper

  • +170-250 open wounds damage per second added

  • +15 maximum damage removed

Endlesshail

  • 12% chance to cast level 18 blizzard on striking changed to 6% chance to cast level 24 blizzard on striking

Kuko Shakaku

  • +2-3 to immolation arrow removed

Langer Briser

  • 33% chance of open wounds removed
  • +10-30 maximum damage increased to +20-30

Gut Siphon

  • +320-440% enhanced damage reduced to +280-400%
  • 12% chance to cast level 36 desecrate on striking reduced to 12% chance to cast level 28 desecrate
  • +1000-1200 open wounds damage per second added

Hand of Blessed Light

  • +2 to fist of heavens increased to +2-3
  • +2 to holy nova increased to +2-3

Akarat's Devotion

  • 20% chance to cast level 35 blessed hammer increased to 25%
  • Now has a chance to drop as a second variation with 25% chance to cast level 35 blessed hammer on striking instead of casting

Aidan's Scar

  • 30% chance to cast level 20 amplify damage on striking changed to 25% to cast level 31

Zerae's Resolve

  • +200-250% enhanced damage increased to 220-270%

Swordback Hold

  • Physical damage taken reduced by 5 removed
  • Added +8 open wounds damage per second

Moser's Blessed Circle

  • +25 to all resistance reduced to +20

Head Hunter's Glory

  • +280-445 attack rating removed
  • +12% chance to cast level 31 amplify damage on attack changed to on striking

Alma Negra

  • +150-220% enhanced damage changed to +160-200%
  • +1-2 to all skills increased to +2 to all skills

Dragonscale

  • +30 to hydra oskill increased to +35

Martyrdom

  • Magic damage taken reduced by +12-18 increased to +18-24
  • Added 20-30% curse resistance
  • Removed Increased corpse explosion radius

Steel Shade

  • +5-11 fire absorb reduced to +4-6

Valkyrie Wing

  • +20% faster hit recovery increased to +30%

Cyclopean Roar

  • Now drops in two different variations one with chance to cast on striking and one with chance to cast on casting
  • 8% chance to cast level 6 battle cry on casting or striking increased to 10% chance to cast level 6 battle cry on casting or striking

Demonhorn's Edge

  • +20% increased attack speed removed
  • +20% chance for open wounds added
  • +25 All resistance removed
  • Added +350 open wounds damage per second

Raekor's Virtue

  • +20% curse duration reduction removed
  • +20% curse resistance added

Wolfhowl

  • +8-15 vitality removed
  • +3-6 to fury reduced to +3-5
  • +3-6 to werewolf reduced to +3-5

Cerebus' Bite

  • 7-10% lifesteal removed
  • Added +360 open wounds damage per second

Ursa's Nightmare

  • Increased maximum life +20-25% increased to 20-30%

Overlord's Helm

  • Crafting infusions will be staying, but will be treasure fallen event exclusive item
  • Treasure fallen loot table changes from crafting season (i.e. can drop higher runes) will stay minus puzzle pieces, but will no longer spawn in LoD
  • Next Hit Always Misses bug fixed (was common with Zeal and other melee attacks if put into hit recovery, block, etc; Sacrifice self-damage and Holy Sword block would automatically cause this NHAM bug)
  • Melee hit checks simplified: will do an initial target range check to move character into hit range, and then the secondary range check is more lenient if monster moves after initial target
  • Reduced volume level of main menu music
  • Reworked next hit delay to be on a per missile type for caster basis -- this means you can't next hit delay yourself if you use multiple skills to do damage (i.e. Twister and Tornado don't delay each other) and applies to other player's skills in game as well; may result in nerfs for skills that relied on damage increase to cover hit delays and/or additional Monster HP increases per player in multiplayer
  • Necro Poison Dagger now has a spread mechanic - if a monster dies while poisoned by Dagger, it will release a cloud upon death

  • Increased maximum sprite limit in game, will no longer have graphics go invisible when too much is on screen (aka Shenk Bug)
  • Added commands for player statistics: .kills of various types (.kills all - all monsters killed, .kills dclone, .kills maps, etc.), .played for time played, .deaths for death count; stats also will function on PlugY for single player
  • Top 3 99s, DClone Tier 2, Rathma Tier 2 all get account-wide aura with a lightning effect; all other 99s and DClone/Rathma Tier 2 will get a character-bound aura without lightning (the character-bound auras will also work in singleplayer and carry over to non-ladder)
  • TBA changes to Dungeon Boss farming
  • Skills no longer have a cooldown when in town - summon QoL when starting a run
  • All permanent summons will carryover through games (i.e. not Ravens or Revives); Valks will reroll new armor between games; Iron Golem still undetermined on how that will function
  • Uber Tristram is no longer in D2GS code, now part of game -- will natively work in single player/PlugY, and can now fix bugs when seen in Tristram
  • Uber Tristram house cheese is gone, players and monsters can no longer go in the houses
  • Pally Charge now hits non-namelocked monsters; would do a ghost attack that would miss if a monster was not namelocked

    • Shadow Plate strength requirement dropped from 232 to 220 strength to be in line with strength scaling with bases in Normal and Exceptional
  • Unsummoning Iron Golem will make the item used re-drop to be picked up
  • Pally Holy Light reworked: If cast on enemy, does magic damage to target and 50% heal to party in AoE around target; If cast on party, does full heal to party and 50% damage to monsters in AoE around target
